- The sealed capping
film is a multilayer plastic film, which is totally air-tight.The
film is heat-sealed around the edge of the lid. It serves
as a protective barrier to avoid gas and liquid exchanges
between the culture medium and the environment.The dish
is easy to peel thanks to the tab. It is to be noted that
while the capping film is being removed, the culture media
is still covered.
- Flatness and parallelism
are regularly controlled throughout the manufacturing process
to avoid variations.
- The ventilation lugs
molded in the lower cup guarantee a good ventilation
of the cultures on the membrane filters or the culture
medium.
- Dish stacking: the
stacking ring on the lid makes stacking of the dishes easier,
whether with or without the capping film.
- The identification
data of a dish are engraved on the plastic ring under the
dish. The data are clear and legible through the capping
film. They include the agar type, the batch number and the
expiration date.
- Due to the "articulated
lid", the plate can be opened and closed with only
one hand.
To open the dish, hold it with one hand, placing the forefinger
and the middle finger under the dish, with the thumb on
the bevelled edge of the lid. By simply pressing the lid
down, the dish will open at a 60° angle (ideal angle
to lay the sample : membrane, inoculum, liquid…).The
other hand can be used to handle the sample.
- Isolators : MediaSure® is air-tight
and can be hung in the isolator to be totally decontaminated
before the use.
- Quality : every batch
is produced in conformity with the quality standards and
controlled with care to guarantee a perfect product to the
customer.
- The agar culture media
: are available those commonly used for microbiological
analysis (TSA, R2A, PCA, Cetrimide…). Plastibell Pharm
2 can also provide customised culture media to meet specific
needs.
- The packaging : carton
containing sealed plastic sleeves of 10 or 12 dishes.
MediaSure® can also be radiosterilized
to meet specific needs.
